For the Personal Touch
Lesedi Cultural Village offers an insight intoo the tribal life of some of the African tribes of this country. The visit starts on your arrival with
a welcoming drink and the opportunity to browse the Ndebele village and craft market.
This is followed by a multi-visual theatre presentation on the history and origin of the people of our Rainbow Nation. Gueast are then
taken on a guided tour through the five different villages, Xhosa, Zulu, Pedi, Basotho and Ndebele, speaking with the people and
experiencing how they live.
You are then free to have a few drinks in the bar or browse the shop before meeting in the Traditional Dance Boma for The Giant
Ingoma - song and dance of all five villages. The dance culminates in communal dancing with the guests around the fire.
If you are having a meal, either lunch or dinner, the Pan African Feast is served in the Nyama Choma restaurant with delicacies from
North, East and South Africa.
This experience takes place twice daily, at 11h30 and 16h30. You may either enjoy the cultural experience on its own, or followed by a
meal, either lunch or dinner.
During the drive to and from the village, we discuss the history of Johannesburg, and as far as possible I will take you past interesting
areas. Our route will depend on where I pick you up and drop you off. This tour can be combined with other venues in the Cradle of
Humankind or Johannesburg to make a full day and evening - Ask for a quote.
Please remember - my speciality is customised tours.
I will quote on a customised tour or amend itineraries to suit you.
